Table S1: Questions used to construct the cultural change proxy detachment from tradition. Questions were designed to capture individual variance among respondents on their traditional belief system centred on the ethnographic information collected by Huanca (2008). Respondents rated each question on a scale of 0 (attached to traditional Tsimane' cultural value) to 4 (detached from traditional Tsimane' cultural value) based on the presentation of the figure included in SMII (for further details on the construction and application of this variable see Reyes-García et al. 2014b).
